Located just 4 kilometers from the famous Hérault resort town, Cap d’Agde has everything you need for a great trip: beautiful fine sand beaches for people who love swimming and water sports, quality recreational facilities, a variety of activities for young and old, pretty heritage, and bike paths where you can ride bikes with your family along the seaside and inland. You can stroll along the Hérault and the Canal du Midi from our campsite in Cap d’Agde.
With 14 km of beaches near the campsite and the mild Mediterranean climate, Cap d’Agde is a great resort town. From the Baie de l’Amitié beach to the nudist beach to La Grande Conque black sand beach, the town has 9 beaches divided by the old port. To the west of the port, towards Grau-du-Roi, you will find 3 sand beaches: Richelieu (the biggest, very popular with families), Rochelongue, and Baie de l’Amitié. They are all well equipped (car parks, lifeguard stands, showers, changing rooms) and connected by nice walking paths. To the east, towards Marseillan, there is La Plagette, La Grande Conque, La Falaises beach, Le Môle beach, La Roquille beach, and the nudist beach. La Grande Conque, the most unique, is protected by high volcanic cliffs. La Falaises beach is best if you’re looking for a private cove, far from summer crowds.
